Ashamed? May be, May be not

Romans 1:16- For I am not ashamed of the gospel [a]of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

I recently read a book titled ‘The 1- Page Marketing plan’ by Allan Dibb’. We were in Business garage- the part of church at Worship Harvest where they teach about finances when Apostle Moses Mukisa recommended it. In the book, Allan Dibb says that some businesses reason that if their product is excellent, there will not be any need for advertising. He then argues that marketing must be one of the major activities if one wants to have a successful business.

I began thinking about my relationship with God as a good product. My fellowship with him and all that he has already provided by grace is worth being proud of, worth shouting about from the rooftops, worth selling. The currency for this is having men who have yielded to Christ and are walking in his steps.

Imagine with me if Uganda had about 70% of the population believing in Christ and knowing their true identity in God. Forget the usual religious dogma- I mean a situation where the true gospel has been cemented into the hearts of men. Do you know what would happen? Prisons would be empty, first class generosity would be the order of the day, corruption would no longer be heard of in our land, hospitals would only be for mothers giving birth and the small percentage of the population (30%) which has chosen to remain on the other side of the equation.

It’s not impossible. True believers need only not to be ashamed of the gospel. It is important to know, fellow brethren that if you are not preaching the gospel, you are ashamed of it. I wish I could sugar-coat it but it is simply the truth. Otherwise, why, if you know how good, beneficial and pleasant it is to have a relationship with God, are you not telling everyone about it?
